Pictured is my lovely boy CROOKRISE BOYNE OF FREEBREEZE, lemon and white, born 17th March 1992, died 2nd September 2002. He was from the first litter to be sired by Ch Crookrise Old Glory and the last litter bred by the partnership of Edmondson & Robertshaw prior to the death of Mrs Kitty Edmondson. His dam  Limrath Pride of Ard-dorragh, was the result of a mating between Irish field trial lines to Crookrise lines (FT Ch Innistona Shoot to Crookrise High Class, a litter sister to USA & Can Ch Crookrise High Flyer). He won several classes at Championship shows and numerous BOBs at Open Shows.

"Spice" was the character of the family and had a wonderful temperament. He sired 7 litters, including Geraldine O'Driscoll's Sh Ch Crookrise Slaney of Fowington and Speys' USA Champions Bookstor John Ruskin JH and Bookstor Charlotte Bronte JH. More recently he sired David Reid's Innistona Freeze  and litters ex Cicely Robertshaw's Sh Ch Lynwater Roulette of Crookrise and Chris Biles & Linda Smith's Lynwater Rummy of Crookrise (this litter including the BPIB Darlington 2000 winner). Also, his final litter ex Sh Ch Sarah Pocket of Crookrise which produced 2 Championship show winners including our own Lynwater Javelin over Freebreeze who is a lovely boy like his father.

Also at "Freebreeze" are:-

Vossmead Diamond of Crookrise, black & white, born 6th September 1993. Also by Ch Crookrise Old Glory, ex Gypsy Moon of Crookrise, so is the same way bred as Sh Ch Vossmead Gambler of Crookrise. "Kitty" won one CC (Mrs Fran Barr) and a Reserve CC (Mr Jon Kean) and her Junior Warrant (under the old system). She was bred by Mrs Jean Kemp. She is the dam of :-

Freebreeze To Be Sure, (1CC, 3 RCCs) homebred, black & white, born 9th June 1996 who is by Sh Ch Crookrise Slaney of Fowington (Crookrise Boyne of Freebreeze ex Old Peggotty of Crookrise, the latter being the litter sister to Sh Ch Sarah Pocket of Crookrise), ex CC winner Vossmead Diamond of Crookrise.  "Rosie" won her Junior Warrant (under the old system) at 16 months and the Reserve Bitch CCs at National Gundog and Gundog Society of Wales shows in 1998.  In March 1999 Freebreeze To Be Sure won Best in Show at the Pointer Club of Scotland Open Show. In April 1999 she won the Bitch CC and Reserve Best in Show at the Pointer Club Championship Show out of an entry of 242 Pointers.

Rosie had a beautiful litter on the 3rd April 2000 by Lynwater Atlantic Crossing of Crookrise (USA Ch Bookstor Robert Frost JH x Sh Ch Sarah Pocket of Crookrise), the Group 1 winner at Darlington 2000. Following her litter, she won the Reserve CC at Richmond in September 2000 before being retired from the showring after a leg injury.

From that first litter came the first UK Show Champion for Freebreeze, SH CH FREEBREEZE AMERICAN FROST OF RAMSAYVILLE, owned by Andrew, Margaret & Mairi Brown.  The breeding was repeated in 2002, from which litter came Freebreeze Rare Find of Crookrise (a Champion in Malta) and Freebreeze Romantic Fool of Nottinghill, exported to New Zealand.

She has won many Best of Breed awards at Open Show level. A photograph of her head (taken as a puppy) appears on the Head of the Pointer page and a full photograph appears on the Pointer Club Championship Show 1999 page.
